Relief Fund assistance is for nonprofits only. Information on “Healing Jax” grants is coming soon.
The First Coast Relief Fund helps nonprofits continue to serve in times of crisis. To date, it has been activated in response to two hurricanes, and most recently, in response to COVID-19. We are ready to take action whenever a community crisis strikes again.
Additionally, the Relief Fund partnership learned a great deal in the aftermath of Hurricanes Matthew and Irma, including which nonprofit agencies have the experience and capacity to swiftly respond to crises. In order to maximize the impact of the funding, a new, more collaborative model was created in 2022 that relies on regional lead organizations in our service area (Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Baker, Clay, Putnam counties) to respond to crises. There are now strong, pre-arranged agreements with these regional organizations, who are able to serve those with urgent needs through a network of aligned service providers in their communities.
In the event of a community crisis, we will provide contact information for the regional lead organization(s) in the affected area(s) so qualifying nonprofits can reach out to offer assistance in those efforts.
